Egglescliffe Community Centre
|
The Village
Egglescliffe is situated on high ground on the most easterly crossing point of the Tees at Yarm. It has a history dating back to Norman times and retains its cross and village green. The more modern, Eaglescliffe surrounds Egglescliffe and together they have a population of 8000. The name probably comes from the Ecqui's hill.
The Hall
The purpose built community centre of brick and steel profile cladding was completed in 1969. It has a pitched roof to the main structure and a flat roof to the single storey. It is heated by gas fired central heating. The hall has a no smoking policy.
