The Village
Charltons is a small village of two hundred and fifty people. Previously a mining settlement known as Charlton's Terrace, Slapewath, it nestles under Birk Brow on the A171 between Guisborough and the moors.
The Hall
Built in 1900 as a miner's institute the hall is of timber construction with an added brick outer skin and metal profile roof. It is heated by electric dimplex fan convector heaters.
