About Tees Valley Village Halls Tees Valley Village Halls and Rural Community Buildings Project started in 2004 when a detailed audit of the Village Halls was commissioned by Tees Valley Rural Community Council. The audit formed an initial database of village halls for hire in Tees Valley. It set out the state of the hall buildings, the facilities for hire, the governance arrangements and a profile of each village. Forty six village halls, parish halls and church halls across the Tees Valley took part in the audit. Tees Valley Rural Community Council bid for and obtained ChangeUp funding so that in the early part of 2006, surveys were undertaken for 22 halls. Village hall committees have been able to use the surveys to make long term plans. Other work the project has completed in 2006 has included -
